Geoff held Whitchurch, the Hide family and the Silk Mill very dear to his heart, and valued the friendships he made through the Whitchurch History Society, Probus and Methodist Church. Geoff's funeral will be held at 11am on Tuesday 24th November at Whitchurch Methodist Church. We're sorry to say that numbers are extremely limited and restricted to close family and friends only. There will be the opportunity to pay your respects on Winchester Street when the hearse travels from The Elms to the church just before 11, and also between the church and graveyard from 11.30 onwards. (Please make sure you maintain social distancing and refrain from gathering in groups.) 

We have chosen two charities that were close to Dad's heart and, in lieu of flowers, we would be grateful for donations to either of these causes. The first is St Michael's Hospice, who cared so well for Brenda, Geoff's wife, in her final days. The second is Whitchurch Silk Mill, to which Dad felt a strong connection and whose future is threatened by the ongoing lockdown. Donation links can be found to the right of this page.
